Protective horse boots
Horse boot and bandages protect the horse’s legs and are an absolute must in strenuous disciplines such as jumping and dressage. They stabilise the cannon bone and relieve strain on the deep digital flexor tendon. They also keep older horses’ legs and ligaments warm and prevent them from brushing. A horse boot differs from a bandage because, although it offers less effective protection, it is also associated with fewer risks and is easier to handle. You can get stable boots, transport boots and classic fetlock boots. Whatever type of protective boot you use, it is important to ensure that it fits correctly so that it offers maximum protection and doesn't chafe the leg. Although bandages have a better stabilising and warming effect, the risk of injury to the horse is considerably higher if they accidentally come undone.
