Brushing boots in hard shell styles

Which type of horse boots you choose for dressage is a question of personal preference and, of course, also down to what your horse prefers. Hard shell brushing boots feature a hard outer shell, usually made of plastic. The plastic shell is impact resistant, and is available in attractive colours to match the colour of your breeches or saddle pads. The inside is lined to give your horse maximum comfort. Depending on the design, the inner lining can be made of sheepskin, neoprene, lycra or another technical material, offering additional features.

Fetlock boots as dressage boots

Fetlock boots are often used for dressage. In contrast to the classic hard shell boots with a robust outer shell, fetlock boots are made entirely of softer materials, such as neoprene or similar. In this way, they nestle optimally against the horse's leg. As the name suggests, This type of boot covers the fetlock head, which is thus protected completely. Fetlock boots are usually fastened with the help of strong Velcro fasteners, one of which wraps around the fetlock to provide optimal support and protection.

Brushing and training boots in soft materials for even more flexibility

There is a wide range of dressage boots made of soft materials. These include neoprene, leather, or breathable mesh inserts, among others. Horse training boots made of soft materials are even more comfortable and do not restrict your horse's movements. They protect the sensitive forelegs from knocks, feature a shock-absorbing effect and can be cooling and supportive.

Compete in your next show with high quality brushing boots or impress your riding instructor in your next riding lesson with colour-coordinated training boots, knowing that you are providing your horse with optimal protection and comfort.
