Field boots for ladies and gentlemen

Riding boots come in different variations. Field boots for riding have a shaft that provides protection and stability for the ankle and lower leg. The field boot has a pronounced heel, which is always important and especially important when jumping. It prevents your foot from slipping through the stirrup and getting caught. Field boots are usually made of durable cowhide or particularly high-quality calfskin.

For children's field boots, Wellies have proven to be particularly easy to use and easy to clean. Field boots for men and women usually have a practical zip with a press stud. This closure system simplifies putting on and taking off the boot. Field boots with lacing are somewhat more elaborate but extremely stylish. The lacing allows soft field boots to be individually adjusted at the ankle.

The difference between dressage and field boots

A riding boot is a riding boot? That's not quite true. Special requirements are placed on the riding boot for jumping, because field boots are specifically used in show jumping. The material of the field boot is much softer and therefore more flexible than that of other boots. This means that a good field boot allows more movement when riding and especially when moving over the jump. Usually the shaft of the field boot is not cut as high as that of the dressage boot. The reason for this is quite simple, when jumping, your stirrup is shorter, you bend your knee more. A long shaft can be uncomfortable.

Field boots with plenty of sparkle

The days of plain boots are over. The look of the boot is now an important part of the whole outfit. Therefore, there are hardly any limits when it comes to colour choice and embellishment. In the recreational sector: anything goes. But even at show jumping competitions, many things are now possible. How about sporty field boots by Ariat with a textured toe cap, brown field boots by Cavallo with a patent top and Swarovski crystals or trendy field boots with lacing in dark blue or cognac?

Just look around and let the wide variety at Horze inspire you. Here you will find all your favourite field boot brands such as Ariat, Cavallo, Dublin, Saxon and many more. And if you don't want to go for boots, you can also combine Jodhpur boots and half chaps for jumping. Of course, you can find both at Horze at great prices.
