Breastplates for Horses - Putting an End to Sliding Saddles

The breastplate is one of the auxiliary reins and is mainly used when the horse's saddle tends to slide. This can be the case in show jumping or eventing, where strong forces affect you, your horse and also your saddle. Breastplates are also often used on young horses when the saddle position is not yet clearly defined.

Breastplates are functional, but attention has also been paid to their appearance. For example, we have different colours in our range, so if you would like a brown breastplate to go with your brown saddle, then you will be able to easily find one here. If you like to make an impression, you will find breastplates with crystals, pretty embroidery or even reflective stripes at Horze.
